Key Responsibilities: Database Design and Development: Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers to meet business requirements. Develop and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Azure Cloud Database Management: Manage Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and other Azure cloud data services. Configure and monitor database instances, ensuring high availability and performance. Implement database security practices, including user access controls and encryption. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Conduct performance tuning of database systems to optimize query execution and resource utilization. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. Data Integration and Migration: Design and execute data migration strategies for on-premises to Azure cloud databases. Integrate data from various sources, including APIs, flat files, and other relational databases. Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity. Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including updates and patching.
5+ years of experience as a Database Developer. Proficiency in Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and other Azure cloud database services. Strong SQL programming and database design skills. Experience with data modeling tools and techniques. Knowledge of ETL processes and tools such as Azure Data Factory. Familiarity with cloud security principles and database security best practices. Proficient in database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Experience with version control tools such as Git.
